Entry at 11
For candidates wishing to enter into the First Form /Year 7, examinations and interviews take place in mid January of the year of entry.
Please download and complete the Registration Form and return together with the £100 registration fee, to the Admissions Office. We recommend that prospective pupils register by November of the year preceding entry. All registered candidates are invited to the Entrance Examinations.
Candidates sit papers in English (comprehension and composition) and Maths and take a verbal reasoning (multiple choice) test. Please see the link to Entrance Examination Guidelines for further details. Sample papers are also available on request from the Admissions Office.
All prospective pupils are interviewed in the same week as the examination. Those travelling long distances are welcome to request an interview on the same day as the examination. All others are invited to come for interview later in the same week as the examination - Thursday or Friday.
Interviews are with two members of the academic staff and last approximately 20 minutes. Candidates are asked to bring with them something of which they are particularly proud (this is merely an "ice breaker" and not a test!) as well as their school Maths and English exercise books.
