Taste of Boarding
For those currently in Year 7 looking to board at Dauntsey’s in Year 9, 2013. (Those unable to come to this event are most welcome to come to the Taster Day on Monday 8th October)
All prospective boarders are invited to stay at The Manor, the Lower School boarding House, for three days. This will give prospective pupils a taste of life at Dauntey's and the experience should enable them to decide whether or not Dauntsey's should be their school of first choice.
During their stay they will live as boarders at The Manor, attend lessons with our First Form (Year 7) and try their hand at sailing on Jolie Brise. We will also offer them an interview and thus hope to be in a position to confirm a firm place at Dauntsey's, subject to an average of 60% at Common Entrance, success in the scholarship examination, or alternative appropriate examination. If parents decide to accept this place, the usual deposit will then be required; this will be refunded if entry requirements are not met.
