This Club has been set up at the pupils’ request and is open to everyone in the Third Form. The club will provide pupils with an introduction to the intricate rules and moves of the game, which they will then put into practice on the field. It is hoped that, after some training, a match or two may be organised against visiting opponents. |

Players of all standards are welcome and from any age group in the School. Shuttles are provided, and some racquets, but players are recommended to bring their own racquets if at all possible. School Games kit suitable for the Sports Hall must be worn. Due to the popularity of this club, players must sign up each Wednesday on the list in the Glass house. A new list is put up each week to give everyone the opportunity of playing.

Open to all pupils in the Sixth Form, this club is back by popular demand and established at the request of pupils. The students will be introduced to a number of ballroom dances, ranging from the traditional Foxtrot and Waltz, to Latin American dances such as the Rumba. |

This club offers both team players and non-team players an opportunity to come and learn the basic skills of the game. Sessions will be organised with drills and skills at the beginning, and will end in competitive games. |
Brecons’ Challenge

The Brecons’ Challenge is a once yearly event in which pairs of Lower Sixth pupils take part in an energetic triathlon. The Challenge involves a run up Pen y Fan and Cribyn, followed by a cycle ride down to Pencelli and finally a kayak paddle into the town of Brecon. Pupils and staff travel to Wales on Saturday after sporting fixtures and accommodation is provided in a bunkhouse. The event takes place on the following Sunday and never fails to be a memorable event for everyone involved! The Brecons’ Challenge date is announced in the early summer term; places are limited and subject to application. |

This club runs only in the Summer term, and is open to all girls, regardless of their previous cricketing experience. It aims to introduce the basics of bowling, batting and fielding for a game many of them have never played. Nets sessions and mini games are used and, where possible, we try to arrange an end of term game or two against outside opposition. |
