THE HOUSES AT DAUNTSEY'S

There are five boarding houses and seven day houses at Dauntsey's.  Each house is run by a housemaster and/or housemistress (who are teachers at the School) with the support of a team of tutors.  Each child at Dauntsey's has their own personal house tutor who will often be the first port of call for pastoral and academic advice and help.

The Boarding Houses

The Lower School boarding boys and girls (aged 11-13) live in the Manor House and as they enter the Fourth Form (Year 10) they move into one of the four Upper School houses for boys or girls. Each boarding house provides its own unique close-knit, secure and relaxed homely atmosphere in which pupils are welcomed as part of a large family. House staff are responsible for the overall welfare of their pupils; they are key in ensuring a child's happiness and progress throughout their time at Dauntsey's and are the crucial link between the School and parents.  All houseparents’ and resident tutors’ homes are attached to the boarding houses, which ensures the staff are always accessible and in daily contact with their wards.
