ODA BURSARY FUND
The Bursary Fund awards Bursaries to pupils in the Sixth Form at Dauntsey's whose parents may be experiencing difficulties in meeting the School fees. The Fund is open to all parents, and for further details kindly contact Richard Slade via the Foundation Office email foundationoffice@dauntseys.wilts.sch.uk or tel: 01380 814664, or by post.

In February 2007 the Trustees of the Bursary Fund wrote to all Old Dauntseians seeking their support for the Bursary Fund. The response to this Appeal has been wonderful; most of the odnations were Git Aided and many of them continue for several years, which means that teh total so far donated is about £20,000. This is a fantastic response for which the Trustees wish to convey sincere and grateful thanks. This generous support will enable the Fund to continue to help pupils in the Sixth Form.

ODA WELFARE FUND
The Welfare Fund was established as a freestanding Charitable Trust, "to render assistance in necessitous cases by advice or financial grant to members of the Association and their families".
The Trustees administering the Fund have been active now for over 50 years and have been able to hlep a number of people over the years; they are currently giving some financial assistance in one case. The Trustees now have the ability to help more people, if required. Anyone covered by the rule quoted above is invited to contact the Secretary or the Chairman (see below).

All applications are considered and all grants are made in complete confidence, and names and facts are never disclosed to anyone outside the Trustees. Additional funds are always welcomes to assist with this work, and for anyone considering a bequest to the Welfare Fund in a Will, a suitable wording would be:

"I give free of tax to the Old Dauntseians' Association Welfare Fund of Dauntsey's School, West Lavington, Wiltshire, the sum of £..............for the general purposes fo the Fund and declare thea receipt of the Fund's Treasurer or other proper Officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge".
