ODA PROGRAMME OF EVENTS 2008
13 January |
ODs in Hong Kong
The Head Master and Mark Neve were in Hong Kong in the New Year as part of their annual visit to see current parents and interview prospective pupils. They were delighted that a good number of Hong Kong based ODs joined them for an informal drink at the ‘George & Co. Bar’ on the Lobby floor of the Park Lane Hotel, Causeway Bay. OD London Gathering
Paul Seymour (74-81) organised an informal get-together for ODs in and around London at The Bonds, 11 Derring Street, London W1S 1AR at 7.30pm. Contact Paul Seymour at paul@kpml.com. The group of ODs had a super time, moving on to a restaurant for a Chinese meal and not leaving until 1.30am.

OD Hockey
Men’s matches were held at School against current pupils. Unfortunately the Ladies’ match was cancelled due to injury, but the Men’s proved to be an exciting match, with the trophy presented to the winning team - Dauntsey's 1st XI at the ODA Dinner. Many thanks to Matt Heffer for organising the OD team.

OD Annual Dinner
This event has experienced a great revival over the last few years andwas well attended by ODs of all generations, as well as current and former members of staff. Once again the Dinner was held at the School, with a champagne reception in the Library followed by dinner at 8.00pm. This year's guest speaker was Martyn Barklem (OD '68-'75) who entertained guests with stories and anecdotes of his time at Dauntsey's, in the Hong Kong police, and more recently as a barrister.

Commemoration Day
One of the most important events in the School Calendar, many ODs who came for the previous night’s dinner joined pupils and staf for the Commemoration Service. This year's guest speaker was the Bishop of Sherborne, Rt. Revd. Timonth Thornton, who gave a truly inspirational and thought-provoking sermon. |

DAUNTSEY DAY & ODA AGM
The ODA AGM begins at 11.30am. ODs of all generations are encouraged to come for lunch, take a look around the School, catch up with old friends and support the Dauntsey's teams on home fixtures. Tea will be served at 4pm, together with the presentation of trophies. This is also a fine opportunity for those coming to the reunion dinner to meet up beforehand and see the School 'in action'.

Once again this popular event will be held at the North Wilts Golf Club - come along to play, and OD non-golf players are welcome to join the players for supper afterwards. Contact Bob Foxwell if you would like to play or join the players for supper (see below). |

The Olive Society Annual Gathering
This is the eighth reunion for members of the Olive Society, established in 2000. This annual event is to thank all those who have left a legacy to the School, and will once again be hosted by the Head Master.
