Information Technology

A brief description of the course followed in Years 7 and 8.

Students develop not only their ICT skills but also an awareness of how ICT is used in everyday life; this enables them to maximise their own efficient use of ICT for both study and leisure.  A variety of software packages are used: Word-processing, Spreadsheet, Database, Internet Browsers, Control and Presentation.

IT Support is available 4.20pm – 5.20pm

Parental support

The ICT Department welcomes parents’ involvement in the subject, especially through help with homework and discussion of ongoing projects.  On a more practical level any time spent developing any computer skills improves confidence and speed during all cross curricular lessons involving ICT.
