French

A brief description of the course followed in Year 9.
Our Exchange School in Orleon

In Form 3 pupils continue with their study of the French language, building on the foundations laid in Forms 1 and 2.

For all groups the approach is still very much communicative and encompasses all four of the language skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing. The topics covered include self, school life, food and drink and free time.  At the same time we continue to build on the grammar that has been learnt in Forms 1 and 2 and thus develop pupils’ knowledge and understanding towards GCSE Level.

By the end of Form 3 we anticipate that pupils will be able to talk about themselves in some detail and with some confidence.
