The Art Department has a high profile within Dauntsey’s and great value is placed on educating pupils to be visually aware and imaginatively creative. The School is proud of its excellent reputation for artistic endeavour and achievement.

The Art School is a self-contained building, set in its own grounds. It is wonderfully spacious and perfectly adaptable to the various disciplines taught within the Department. Our approach to teaching is multi-disciplinary, allowing pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range of specialisms, including photography, painting & drawing, printing, ceramics, sculpture, CAD & animation, and jewellery.

These scholarships are awarded to talented artists who have a passion and love of the subject and are able to converse thoughtfully about their work and the work of other artists.

Candidates will have an interview to which they should bring a portfolio of work that has been completed over the last two years. It could include drawings, paintings, 3D pieces or a sketchbook.
