Scholarships
The Batten Sports Scholarships

These awards mark the achievements of the Batten sisters: Guin (OD ’79-’86) & Miriam (OD ’81-’83). As members of the British quadruple sculls team, they won the silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. This was the first ever medal to be won by female British rowers at the Olympic Games.

These scholarships are awarded to candidates who are outstanding in one or more of the following sports: Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Tennis, Swimming and Athletics.

Candidates will be required to take a practical assessment, complete a questionnaire and have two interviews, one of which will be with the Director of Sport.
