The Brecons Challenge

 

Dauntsey's holds it own Triathlon in the summer term in the Brecon Beacons. The course involves running or walking over Pen y Fan, Cribyn and Fan y Big (approximately 10 kms and an 850 m ascent); pupils then mountain bike down through the forest to the Monmouth canal to Pencelli (18 km) and then canoe back to the centre of Brecon on the canal (8 km). The event finishes back at school with a celebratory dinner and prizegiving.
