First and Second Form Trip to Poole
On Saturday, after a nice lie-in we woke up and had breakfast at 9:00, before getting on a very nice coach to travel the 2 hours to Rockley, where we were shown our rooms, and then were given a lunch consisting of sandwiches, crisps and a flapjack.
After lunch we were taken down to the beach where we spent an hour kayaking/canoeing, and then another hour of windsurfing and paddle boarding. Supper was stew, and then we went back down to the beach where we had a crabbing competition, followed by a sandcastle competition. Then it was back up to the accommodation and to sleep!
Sunday started early, and after breakfast we walked down to the beach where we were taken out to the Picos that we were going to spend the day sailing in. Once we got into our boats, we sailed some figures of eight and then we went to a beach to have lunch, and just as everyone had finished, Mrs Sampson arrived! We then all sailed back to the quay, helped haul the Picos in, and then went out to swim and play in the water. After supper, we went back to the beach where we did archery and built a sandcastle.
Monday morning was packing morning, and when we had finished, we went to the beach and built rafts. My groups raft stayed afloat for little more than 5 seconds, but I think that it was quite impressive on my terms. After that, my group played around in the water for a while, and by the time the other group had successfully sunk their raft, we had lunch. After lunch, we went back to the accommodation and then we left to go back to Manor.
All in all it was a great
trip, and I think everyone who went really enjoyed it.
