Multi-Activity Expedition to Skye
|
On 4th July, 24 pupils, Mr Adam Reid and Mr Nick Vincent will be travelling by mini bus up to the beautiful Isle of Skye for a unique18-day multi-activity expedition to this beautiful corner of Scotland. Pupils will be split into three eight-person syndicates, which will rotate around three activities: climbing, sea kayaking and trekking, with four days spent on each. On 16th July one of the syndicates will leave the expedition having climbed and kayaked, to join Jolie Brise in Portree to sail to Norway. Accommodation will be in a hostel in a tiny village called Portnalong, on the west coast of Skye, with climbing just 15 minutes away, and kayaking a 2 minutes walk away. This is an independently organised trip, and all catering will be done by the pupils, and activities will be led by a designated team of instructors who have worked with the Dauntsey's Expedition and Mountaineering Society (DEAMS) in the past.
