Senior Maths Challenge

On Thursday 6th November 130 Sixth Form pupils took part in the UK Senior Maths Challenge. This is the largest competition of its kind in the country with in excess of 80,000 other students taking part. This year, an impressive 65 pupils were awarded certificates, with 13 Gold certificates awarded as follows:

Agnes Leung, Mary Kwok, Tracy Leung, Terence Kwok, Serene Cheung, Jilly Tovey, Yushan Li, Henry Borrill, Stephanie Poon, Colman Yau (Fourth Form), Tom Cannon, Monica Xie,

Special mention goes to Colman, Tom and Monica: they were in the top 1% of all candidates. The three of them will be doing a follow-on paper at the end of term that lasts for three and half hours!

Next term pupils from the Third, Fourth and Fifth Forms will be taking part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge.
