Dauntsey's Equestrian Team
The four girls that make up the Dauntsey's Equestrian Team (Elena, Libby, Jemima and Antonia) have all performed brilliantly in the last few weeks.
They took part in the Jumping and Style Competition at West Wiltshire Equestrian Centre early in November, and, with four clear rounds, qualified for the National Schools Equestrian Association's Jumping with Style competition in Bedford on Saturday November 29th. They were competing against over 30 other school and pony club teams, and they all proudly received their rosettes at the end of the day.
The National Jumping and Style competition in Bedford proved to be a tough challenge. The girls competed against 25 other schools in two competitions - a warm up competition (which Libby Seed won) and the main jumping and style class. All the girls completed their rounds, but with a few poles down, were sadly not amongst the rosettes this time. Nevertheless, they had a fantastic time and the experience gained will be invaluable for future events.
Well done to them all, and to their parents for all the hard work and effort in transporting the horses to Bedford!
