International Society Weekend at Alton Towers
34 International Society pupils spent a happy few days at Alton Towers and in Oxford over the exeat weekend of 27th and 28th September. The pupils made the most of the beautiful weather and all that the resort had to offer: the more daring pupils tested their nerves on thrilling rides such as ‘Nemesis’, ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Ripsaw’ whilst others opted for the slightly less speedy but equally fun ‘Congo River Rapids’ and ‘Spinball Whizzer’, to name but a few.
The pupils and accompanying staff stayed in a hotel near the resort, and also managed to squeeze in some sightseeing and shopping in Oxford on Sunday before returning to their boarding houses in the evening. The weekend's activities also included a party for Evita, whose 17th birthday was celebrated by all who went!
