A Level Results 2009
Many pupils at Dauntsey's School will be celebrating the success of their A Level results which are published today: 43 pupils gained at least three A grades, whilst almost 50% of the 434 subject entries were awarded top grades. Head Master, Stewart Roberts, said that he was delighted to see so many deserving pupils achieving their just rewards. Seventy seven percent of all subjects examined resulted in the award of an A or B grade. The Head Master commented that although these were not record-breaking results, pupils should be very proud of their achievements and not least those who worked hard over the last year to transform the grades they received at AS Level.
139 pupils who have just finished their first year in the Lower Sixth will be receiving their AS results today. It is not the School's policy to cash these grades in, but many pupils will be overjoyed with the marks they receive: indeed, it looks like a bumper year.
