Jolie Brise in New York
Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge Continues

We are delighted to report that Jolie Brise and her crew are enjoying a brief visit to New York, as they make their way from Charleston in South Carolina to Halifax, Nova Scotia where they will meet up with the rest of the Tall Ships fleet.

They seemed to have timed their arrival perfectly: "We all did a bit of shopping before returning to the pier for dinner, then settled down to watch an amazing fireworks display for the 4^th July celebrations. We had one of the best views from the boat because it happened on the river right in front of us."

Jolie Brise is due to arrive in Halifax by 16^th July in time for a change of crew and to prepare for the final race back across the Atlantic from Halifax to Belfast, departing on 20^th July. This is arguably the most challenging route of all and the intrepid crew of eight pupils will cover some 2,350 miles before reaching Belfast by 13^th August.
