The annual inter-house Lower School Music Festival this year saw an impressive 259 entries and it was inspiring to see such a wide variety of instruments played, ranging from the violin and flute to the concertina and bagpipes! All participants, House Captains (Sam Dawson, Pippa Moakes, Tabitha Bardsley, Lawrence McKellar, Joesphine Semple, Nathaniel King, Emily Sheppy and George Akerman), House Staff and teachers are to be congratulated for their continual enthusiasm and support throughout. After points were awarded by the panel of judges, Scott House was declared the overall winner, with Forbes in second place, Rendell in third and Manor in fourth.

On Monday evening, the Individual Winners' Concert took place. This was a thoroughly enjoyable event and many congratulations to all those who took part - the standard was exceptionally high this year. The Individual Winners' cup was jointly awarded to the above two girls (both in Rendell House), with Sam Dawson being declared 'Man of the Match' after playing an impressive four times during the course of the evening! Each house selected four performances for the Final Feast concert on Tuesday evening, with the Winning Ensemble, 'Tasty Tango Trio' also performing. The Festival culminated with the entire Lower School singing a selection of songs from 'High School Musical'; an enthusiastic end to what has been a very successful Festival this year.
