Summer Ball & Speech Day
End of Year Celebrations

The end of the academic year on Saturday 4th July represented an important rite of passage for our Sixth Form leavers and their parents. The Leavers' Service at All Saints' Church in West Lavington was followed by a lunch for leavers, parents, staff and Governors. Speech Day saw hundreds gather in the Memorial Hall for prize giving, which were presented by guest speaker, Lady Jo Benson. Lady Benson was appointed by the Mercers' Company as a Governor in 1977, and has been Vice Chairman of Governors at Dauntsey's since 1994; she retires from this position at the end of July.

The evening saw both the marquis and Memorial Hall transformed for the Summer Ball, undoubtedly the highlight of the School's social calendar. Over 550 Sixth Form pupils, parents, staff and their friends enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared by the catering staff, followed by a spectacular fireworks display and dancing to live music until the early hours. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Cloete, and their team of helpers, for organising such a memorable Summer Ball.
