A vibrant evening in the Art School

This week, the Art School opened this year’s programme of events with an evening of distinctly watery theme.

An exhibition of work by Caron Hunter splashed painted swans around the gallery; sought after marine artist, Robert Lloyd came to talk about his career to a room brimming with GCSE and A level students, and the spoils of a productive upper sixth drawing trip on the Jolie Brise enhanced the maritime atmosphere. Miranda Bardsley (Lower Sixth), played jigs and reels to the gallery and, as the evening lengthened, Sadie Mutton (Fourth Form) soulfully sang.

The exhibition continues until Saturday 17 October.
