Clarendon Relay Marathon

Six Dauntsey’s teams participated in the Clarendon Relay Marathon last Sunday, joining over 1,000 runners along the beautiful scenery of the ancient Clarendon Way, running on tracks and trails, through woodland and downland, from Laverstock to Winchester.

There was plenty of the Dauntsey’s spirit on display. Everyone enjoyed the day and appreciated the positive support along the route.

Congratulations to Emily, Molly, Will and Ed who were the first School team home in 3hrs 34 minutes – a very respectable time given the large number of hills that had to be climbed! They finished 11th out of 45 finishers in the relay, which is an excellent result, given our inexperience next to the many seasoned club runners. It was also lovely to bump in to last year's Head Girl, Henny Lowth who was running the full marathon.

I’m sure we’ll be back again next year!
