Dauntsey’s Art Historians
Upper Sixth History of Art students enjoyed a trip out earlier this week to present lectures on the Italian Renaissance to the Devizes University of the Third Age group.
Six students held their audience of fifty captivated as they each spoke on a different artist and their work at Devizes Town Hall.
Presentations covered the intriguing dynamic between patronage and politics; status and identity; myth and reality. The university group members had all done their homework before attending but questions from an intrigued audience still ran well over time!
All girls were excellent ambassadors for Dauntsey's and the session proved a success for both the young and old!
