Drama at Dauntsey’s

Last week pupils from Dauntsey’s staged Sondheim's joyous, musical romp through Rome, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum.

Over five nights, an energetic and talented cast of 45 presented a fast-paced, witty and irreverent show with desperate lovers, scheming neighbours and secrets behind every toga.

Behind the scenes, the cast were superbly supported by a magnificent orchestra and back-stage crew with 30 more pupils making an essential contribution to the success of the show.

Our production of ‘Forum’ was one of the highlights of the year. The students had a great time presenting this fast paced, laugh out loud, thigh slapping, bawdy presentation of classical Rome. Equally our audiences seemed to appreciate their efforts and appeared to have as much fun as the cast!” — Director of Drama, Rikki Jackson
