First Form physics class

Following a novel water displacement experiment earlier this week our First Form physicists would like to report that boys are denser than girls!

The class filled a large plastic drum with water in which they submerged a couple of volunteers to determine the amount of water displaced allowing them to calculate the volume of each volunteer – 1 boy and 1 girl. Together with the mass of each the class were then able to calculate the density of each volunteer. The result was no surprise to one half of the class at least!
