GCSE Results 2015
Press Release - Thursday 20th August 2015
Pupils at Dauntsey’s are celebrating outstanding GCSE results this morning, with a splendid 46.8% of nearly 1200 entries awarded an A * grade. A fabulous 76.6% of all entries, from the 121 candidates, were at A* or A grade.
Leading the field with 11 A* grades were Alexandra Beteeva, Atlanta Hatch, Tom McGrath and Alice Walton-Knight, closely followed by James Bruges, Meirian Evans, Isobel McKellar, Tom Middleton, Fergus O’Keefe and Elvira Parr with ten top grades. Congratulations to Miranda Bardsley who also achieved A* grades in all nine of her subjects. In addition, 40 of the 121 candidates achieved all A* or A grades and 69 pupils achieved eight or more A* or A grades.
The Head Master, Mark Lascelles, expressed his delight with such excellent grades and was particularly pleased that the results recognised the top performers as well as a good number of pupils who exceeded their own expectations. The results across the year group were a just reward for the strong work ethic of the pupils and the dedication of the staff.
The GCSE results this year continue Dauntsey’s tradition of high academic achievement and the School looks forward to welcoming over 40 new pupils to join this marvellous year group in the Lower Sixth in September.
