Best Ever GCSE Results

Fifth Form (Year 11) pupils at Dauntsey’s are celebrating the School’s best ever GCSE results, with an outstanding 48.5% of nearly 1000 entries awarded an A* grade. A remarkable 94.1% of all entries were at A*, A or B grade with 78.1% of all entries at A* or A grade. As a result, last year’s School record has lasted just twelve months.

In addition, 35 of the 103 candidates achieved all A* or A grades and 70 pupils achieved seven or more A* or A grades. The 19 Fourth Form (Year 10) pupils who took their IGCSE Mathematics a year early all achieved an A* grade.

Fifth Form pupils Rini Banerjee and Dulcie Spindler were out in front with 11 A* grades and they were closely followed by; Sam Abel, Corinna Clark, Charlie Hinton, Grace James-Park, Eliot Johnson, Jeffrey Lam, Emily Tucker, Nick Welch and Olivia Keppel, with ten top A* grades. Charlotte Hamilton-White and Ana Gilbert achieved A* grades in all nine of their subjects.

I am delighted with these excellent grades and particularly so for those pupils who exceeded their own expectations,” said Head Master, Mark Lascelles.

The results across this super year group are a just reward for the strong work ethic of the pupils and the dedication of the staff.”
