The Manor Bonfire and Fireworks Night
On a very cold Sunday, the pupils of The Manor spent time during the day pumpkin carving and making cookies & toffee apples ready for Bonfire night.
The kitchens smelt delicious and it took a lot of self-control to resist eating everything, but as they were to be sold in aid of this year's school charity everyone remained steadfast! All the pupils really enjoyed the activities, and we had some beautiful, and amusing pumpkins to display that evening!
When the time came to go outside and brave the cold, everyone wrapped up warm and trooped up to Poppy's Field to prepare for the bonfire and fireworks. Some delicious hotdogs, hot chocolate, and soup managed to keep all those attending warm enough, until the bonfire was lit and everyone enjoyed a brilliant fireworks display thereafter.
We managed to raise a total of £832 for this year's school charity Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and the evening was a fantastic success.
Well done and thank you to all involved!
