The Manor Christmas Cake Bake
Christmas tunes were being sung in The Manor kitchen from early November as the pupils began their annual Christmas Cake Bake.
20 cakes were made and decorated with much love and many sticky fingers; over 30 pupils were involved, as some chose to share a cake, and competition was fierce!
The pupils met on two evenings each week to ensure that their creations were whisked, baked, covered in marzipan and decorated to an outstanding standard, in preparation for the judging by the Headmaster at the Manor Advent Concert.
The standard of decoration this year was extremely high, and one cake came with its own fairy lights! The Headmaster deliberated over the cakes for some time before announcing this year’s winners:
First form: Emily Large
Second form: Finlay Douglas
Third form: Amy Colyer and Maria Smith
Well done to everyone, they all look beautiful and delicious.
