German Trip to Bavaria

A group of Upper School pupils spent the first week of the Easter holidays honing their German skills in the beautiful Bavarian town of Lindau, on Lake Constance. With a stunning backdrop of the lake and the Austrian and Swiss Alps they attended intensive German lessons at the Dialoge language school and spent any free time exploring the area.

In addition to a lot of Kaffee und Kuchen, they enjoyed a very cold and snowy day in the Alps, a sunny afternoon’s bike ride around the lake to Bregenz in Austria, a hovercraft ride across Lake Constance to the town of Konstanz and a final – rather expensive – day in Zürich before flying back to England.

All returned with boosted confidence and feeling very positive about their improved language skills. We are already looking forward to our next trip back to Lindau, which will be during the first week of the Christmas holidays.
