Lower School German Trip

A group of First and Second Form pupils enjoyed a fabulous trip to the Rhineland over Half-term.

The three days were packed full with a huge range of activities: a fascinating day exploring the Roman city of Trier, a cruise up the Rhine to the famous Loreley Rock, a cable car ride over the vineyards in Rüdesheim, a visit to the medieval Marksburg castle, wine-tasting in Alken and swimming in Cochem. All these combined to give the pupils are real taste of Germany, with plenty of opportunity to try out their language skills in shops and ice cream parlours along the way!
