Saturday 11 June saw 25 Dauntsey’s athletes represent Kennet at the County Athletics Championships in Salisbury.
It was a very successful day with six of our athletes becoming County Champions. The highlight of the day saw Imogen Dawe-Lane break the County record for the 80m Hurdles with a time of 11.9 seconds. This is a superb achievement and Imogen also won the 300m Hurdles title.
Senior Boys’ Captain Oliver Shad won the 400m with Callum Short winning the 400m Hurdles. Imogen Davies won the shot and the discus and Polly Maton won the Long Jump. The final title was won by Jack Rigby who has shown huge improvement this season who won the Intermediate boys High Jump with a height of 1m 77cm.
We wish all those athletes including Will Morris and Georgia Pickford all the very best when they compete for Wiltshire at the South West Championships at Exeter this weekend. This has been another superb season for athletics for both our boys and girls.
