Paris Half Marathon 2016
A team of 26 pupils and 4 staff have just returned from competing in the Paris Half Marathon, alongside 37,108 other runners from all over the world.
Everyone enjoyed the incredible experience of running through the streets of Paris, encouraged by a great number of bands, entertainers and crowds of supporters - including Dauntsey's parents, also enjoying a Spring weekend away.
Results were excellent - even entering and embarking on such a challenge is impressive in itself - and our exhausted, happy finishers had every right to feel very proud of their achievements.
Special mention must go to Emily Neve, who broke the girls’ School record finishing in a very fast 1 hour 39 minutes. On the boy’s side, Will Harding and Sam New recorded a super speedy time of 1 hour 23 minutes, finishing only seconds apart to knock off 2nd and 3rd place School records also.
All 26 runners completed the course and a significant amount of money was raised for charity.
