The Manor Marathon

On a hot and sunny Sunday morning, around 30 Manorites, a number of brave parents and staff, gathered for an early start at beautiful Bath Abbey.

The challenge at hand was to cycle the 26+ miles back to The Manor in the annual ‘Manor Marathon’. The cyclists were joined by 12 runners, who did much of the route in relays.

Via the Kennet and Avon Canal, through Potterne, and back to The Manor, everyone made great progress with just a few punctures, a little saddle soreness, and one or two blisters! By 1pm all the cyclists and runners were back at the house ready to enjoy a lovely BBQ (and a few drinks!) on the lawn at the front of The Manor, in the blazing sunshine.

A big well done to all who took part in a great day all about teamwork, enthusiasm and determination. Many thanks to all parents involved for their support and help, and particularly Mr Fulling for organising the whole event.
