Mercers' L6 Wild Camping and Fishing Trip
14 of Mercers' Lower Sixth spent the night sleeping in a cave on the Isle of Purbeck on Saturday night. Marshmallows were toasted and breakfast cooked on the fire.
Then on Sunday morning, we caught 70-80 mackerel on a very successful fishing trip from two boats in Swanage Bay. The boys were also taught how to gut the fish and we cooked them on the BBQ when we returned to Mercers on Sunday evening.
A good time was had by all and I think there was more sleep on the journey back than in the cave overnight!
