Institute of Physics
National A2 examination awards
Recent leavers Jacky Yuen and Philip Crowley have been awarded a national prize by the Institute of Physics in co-ordination with the OCR examination board for their A Level "Advancing Physics" coursework.
Work that is identified as outstanding by the student's teacher can be nominated for a prize and is subsequently judged during the moderation process, with the final decision made by the Principal Moderator. Philip Crowley was named 'A2 Research and Report Prize Winner 2008' for his study on 'How high energy particle accelerator technology has evolved since its inception', a fabulous achievement. Jacky Jing Yuen was Highly Commended in the 'A2 Practical Investigation Prize' for his investigation on the "Spinning Top". Warmest congratulations to them both.
