In the bright morning sunshine of Saturday 14th March, almost 200 local primary school children gathered on the school pitches for the Dauntsey's Primary Schools Football Festival. The Dauntseys' School Sports Outreach Programme (now in its fifth year, providing ten local primary schools with weekly time-tabled, hour-long sports coaching sessions) has, this term, been concentrating on developing and improving the basic skills required for football. After eight weeks of training and hard work, the pupils from the ten local primary schools participating in the programme, came together to show off their individual talents and team skills.

19 teams, each named after a superhero or super villain, competed in four pools over two divisions. Well over 100 spectators watched some exciting football throughout the morning, with close to 150 goals being scored and some fantastic football being played by the boys and girls. The Dauntsey's Outreach Trophy was awarded to Seend Primary School, the overall winners of the tournament, and the winners of each division were each presented with medals.
