Barron Prize - Tuesday 2nd March 2010
|
The Barron Prize is an annual Sixth Form Musical Instrument Competition. The standard of musicianship displayed this year was simply outstanding. 21 Musicians performed in the Heats, and all might have been worthy to perform again, but in the event, six were chosen to perform in the Final Round Concert. The adjudicator, Liz Fyfe; Orchestral Principal of the Royal Opera House, declared Annie Chu (piano) to be the winner with Jennifer Hutchin (clarinet) and Rebecca Bull (flute) highly commended.
