Fun And Games At The Manor
To help celebrate the end of internal examinations the Manor Third Form pupils were treated to a "Girls' Night Out" and a "Boys' Night In". The Third Form Manor girls went to a Pizza making party at Pizza Express. After pre-dinner drinks at the Manor the girls made their way to Devizes. The chef showed the girls how to make a pizza base and they all chose a variety of toppings. After three minutes of cooking hey presto a feast fit for a king. The meal finished with bowls of ice cream and the girls certainly went away very full and experts in pizza making!
The boys enjoyed a "pub games night" in the Messenger's flat. Teams of 4 were organised and in pairs each team competed against each other in table football, shove ha'penny, cards, Wii skittles and everyone's favourite bar billiards. A break in the evenings competition allowed the boys to indulge in a superb curry with all the trimmings, after the break battle resumed. At the end of a fun filled competitive evening the individual scores for each game were added up to reveal the Green team of Felix Cheng, Hamish Fyfe, Oleg Nedranets and Mr. Penny the winners!

HMS Victory
Thirty Manor' pupils visited HMS Victory in Portsmouth on Sunday 7th February and were thoroughly captivated by the tour guide, who told in detail the gory events of the battle; showing them the spot where Nelson was shot and died. The pupils were especially on their guard when he showed them the tools for punishing wayward seamen, including the infamous cat o'nine tails. They were grateful to be boarding in luxury at the Manor when they saw the sleeping conditions on board for the sailors although 14 year olds on the Victory were given 4 pints of beer a day!
