Lower School Ski Trip
Over the February half term break, 41 pupils and 6 members of staff took to the slopes in the Italian Alps for a week's intensive skiing. The weather in Pila was glorious for most of the week with the exception of only one day, when it was overcast. This was followed by a welcome dump of snow making conditions great for all levels of skiing. Pupils had five hours of lessons each day, and were presented with awards by the ski instructors at the end of the week, with many of them receiving 'five stars' (the highest award). The hotel was set high in the mountains with fabulous views down the valley, and the food was "amazing" and plentiful, which was just as well as everyone built up huge appetites with all the fresh air and exercise! Evening après ski activities included bowling, sledging, a visit to an ice cream cafe in Aosta and supper in a pizza restaurant.
