Senior Team Maths Challenge
On 24 November 2009, a team of lower and upper sixth students attended the Regional Final of the Senior Team Maths Challenge run by the Further Maths Support Programme and the UK Mathematics Trust. This is a national competition with around 50 regional finals all over the country. The competition involved working together on problem solving questions, a cross-number puzzle and a relay round. The final took place at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham with 19 local schools represented. The competition was fierce and the questions were brutal, but Tom, Monica, Andrew and Joey fought hard and were thrilled at the end of the day to be awarded overall winners. They have been invited to the National Final in London on 3rd February and are very much looking forward to the challenge.
