Sixth Form Trip to London

On Monday 9 February over 40 of our Sixth Form pupils were privileged to attend a tour and networking event in London to explore a variety of London-based career opportunities.

They had a fabulous day visiting the Houses of Parliament, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Lloyds of London, the Old Bailey, Rothschilds Bank and Mercers’ Hall.

Dauntsey’s connections with the Mercers’ Company continue to thrive and the School was delighted to be able to hold a Networking Reception at Mercers’ Hall in the evening. Over 30 mentors from a variety of London-based careers attended the Reception to offer their advice and to share their journeys since leaving school.

Deborah Ounsted CBE, Master of the Mercer’s Company welcomed our pupils and mentors. She speculated what Alderman William Dauntsey, Master of the Worshipful Company of Mercers in the 1500’s and Dauntsey’s founder, would have thought of their trip.

“Everyone was inspired by the trip and returned buzzing with excitement.”
James O’Hanlon, Head of Careers
