Lord Taverners' Trophy - U14A XI County Champions

The final of the Wiltshire round of the Lords Taverners' Trophy Under 14s cricket competition was held on 23rd June at Devizes Cricket Club between Marlborough College and Dauntsey's School.

Defending champions Marlborough scored 207-9 in their allotted 40 overs with Dauntsey's leg-spinner Charlie Palmer taking 3 -36 .

In reply, Dauntsey's made a good start with a good opening stand between skipper Lawrence Hannaford and Will Christophi. Will was eventually dismissed for 64 but it was some powerful stroke play from Jack Mynott, who top scored with 78, which took Dauntsey's to a 6 wicket victory.

Dauntsey's will represent Wiltshire in the national rounds of the competition next year.
