Dauntsey's Triathlon
The sixth Dauntsey's School Triathlon Competition took place on Sunday 17th May. Open to pupils, parents and staff, the triathlon was well supported, with 108 competitors taking part, either as part of a team or as individuals. The competition consisted of a 400 metre (16 lengths) swimming event, followed by a 1.55 mile cycling event and a 0.25 mile running event. The weather managed to stay dry throughout the morning, and competitors showed great spirit and good humour. Congratulations to all those who took part, and to the winners of the various categories:
Senior Pupil Individual: Archie Campbell (boys) and Becky Tipping (girls)
Lower School Pupil Individual: George Fisher (boys) and Harriet Colquhoun (girls)
Parents/Staff Individual: Allan Thomson (men), Mandy Reid (women)
Senior Lower School Pupil Team: Rohit Nawani/Piers Gardner/Brian Lee
Senior pupil Team: Anson Wong/James McKean/Nick Balls
Parent/Staff/Pupil Team: Daisy Combe/Chris Combe/Archie Combe
In addition, two new records were set:
Lower School Girls' Individual: Harriet Colquhoun (24.11 min) and the Parent/Staff/Pupil Team: Daisy Combe/Chris Combe/Archie Combe (20.27 min).
