Duke of Edinburgh
Expedition to the Isle of Purbeck
The weekend of 27th and 28th June saw a group of 45 pupils and six staff travel to the beautiful countryside of Dorset for a practice Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expedition. The pupils were dropped off at Corfe Castle on Saturday afternoon, and had to navigate their way to the campsite via a number of check points. They all made it in good time and spent a pleasant evening setting up camp, cooking supper and tending to sore feet and shoulders. The following day they woke early and the six groups set off for another full days' walking and navigating, via several checkpoints, finishing again at Corfe Castle.
