Fun and Skills - Activities for the Lower School
On Saturday 13th June, the First and Second Form day pupils were treated to a day of 'Fun and Skills'. They enjoyed a glorious morning in the sunshine, taking part in various games on the main site, before walking down to the Manor where they found - to their complete surprise - an inflatable 30' slide and a 'Moon walk' bouncy castle! In addition to the inflatables, the pupils had to find the answers to a challenging treasure hunt, tried to 'putt a hole-in-one', played baseball, tennis and kwik cricket. The fun ended on a high with a delicious barbecue in the quad.
London Trip - Manor Pupils' weekend away.
Meanwhile, the First and Second Form Manor boarders and staff enjoyed an action-packed 36 hours in London. Staying in a hotel located centrally, they were ideally placed for Saturday's sightseeing which included Buckingham Palace (which fortuitously coincided with Trooping the Colour), the London Eye, London Dungeons and a boat ride up the Thames. They cooled off by paddling in Trafalgar Square's fountains, enjoyed some retail therapy in the Trocadero shopping centre, had supper in the Spaghetti House and they rounded off a perfect day in the West End seeing the musical "Wicked".
