Tennis, Athletics and Cricket
The summer term has seen some very impressive results from Dauntsey's girls' tennis teams, athletes and a cricketer.
To date (18 June), the U14A Girls' tennis team has played exceptionally well, and they remain unbeaten this season. In addition, during the first two weeks of the second half of the summer term, all 11 of the girls' tennis teams won every single fixture, against Trafalgar School, Prior Park, Godolphin and Warminster.
Dauntsey's Athletics Team had a good day on Saturday 13th June when they competed at the Wiltshire County Athletics Championships in Salisbury. No less than five of our athletes were announced County Champions: Max Romer-Lee (Hurdles), Clare Dyer (Hurdles), Lydia Borwell (Javelin), Pip Lowth (Discus) and Kingsley Mayuku (100m). Lydia and Kinglsey will represent Wiltshire in the South West Championships on Saturday 20th June at Exeter, accompanied by Harriet Colquhoun (1500m) and William Christofi (800m).
Dauntsey's Under-14 batsman Jack M has been in a rich vein of form. In a period of just over a month he has scored three centuries and a total of over 500 runs for only once dismissed. His scores included 130 not out against Kingswood, 60 not out against Prior Park, 135 not out against Clayesmore, and 156 not out against Kingdown in the Lords Taverners' Trophy county semi-final.
