The Manor Bonfire and Fireworks Night

There was a lovely buzz in The Manor leading up to bonfire night as the pupils spent the weekend preparing toffee apples, cupcakes and cookies, to sell on the Sunday evening.

The pupils were frantically baking all day on Sunday and the kitchens smelt delicious. Their hard work was rewarded as they managed to completely sell out of everything in aid of this year’s school charity. All of the pupils really enjoyed the activities, and we had some beautiful, and amusing pumpkins to display that evening!

When the time came to go outside and brave the cold, everyone wrapped up warm and trooped up to Poppy's Field to prepare for the bonfire and fireworks. We had two excellent DJs from third form who provided music and brilliant disco lights for everyone to enjoy. Some delicious hotdogs, hot chocolate, and soup managed to keep all those attending warm enough, until the bonfire was lit and everyone enjoyed a brilliant fireworks display thereafter.

We managed to raise a total of £1,170.00 for this year's school charity Malayaka House, and the evening was a fantastic success.

Well done and thank you to all involved!
