The New Cricket Season and Online Scoring System
The cricket season has started extremely well and in the unusually warm, dry weather Dauntsey's teams have already had significant success.
The 1st XI have won both of their Peak Sports League matches with Jack Mynott scoring 75* in a 6 wicket victory over Monkton Combe on Thursday and Alfie Jones scoring 70* in a similar win on Saturday against Kingswood.
To crown a good first week, the team were victorious in the first round festival in the National Schools T20 competition in Oxford on Sunday, progressing to the next round at the expense of St. Edward's School and Magdalen College School.
The junior teams have also started encouragingly with the Under 12s, 14s and 15s all defeating Kingswood on Saturday. Half-centuries were notched by Nikko Hunt (U12) and Lawrence Hannaford (U15) whilst Charles Ellis (U15) took 5 wickets for only 5 runs!
