Head Master's Notices
I hope that the weather holds out this evening and that the Third Form enjoy their Ball at the Manor tonight.
This week, most of the Fifth Form returned for post-GCSE Life Skills courses. With such a wide-range of choices on offer, everyone seems to have enjoyed their week.
Sadly, the block fixture against Pangbourne has been cancelled, but there is boys' tennis against Bryanston. In addition, boys’ and girls' tennis teams will be taking part in our Internal Davis Cup, and I would like to wish the best of luck to our Lower Sixth pupils taking on the Brecons Challenge on Sunday.
The Summer Festival officially opens at 4.00pm on Monday, with the Summer Art Exhibition in the Art School opening at 5.30pm. I hope to see many of you there enjoying the great selection of events that our pupils and staff have organised.

Entries will be judged by Johnny Messum from Messums Gallery and Professor Dale Harrow, Head of Vehicle Design at the Royal College of Art. Next Years' Nominated Charity
Does anyone have a connection to an overseas charity?
We are looking for a long-list of charities to present to the charity reps next year. We would welcome a couple more if anyone would like to get in touch.
Jane Hubbard - firstname.lastname@example.org
The school is always very keen to hear from parents who may be able to offer work experience/shadowing opportunities or who are aware of work experience programs in the organisation they work for. The pupils gain a huge amount from the process and, in our experience, those involved on the employer side also find the process most worthwhile.
Placement duration tends to be between two and five days and arranging them is far simpler than many anticipate. If you would like to know more then do please contact either James O’Hanlon email@example.com or Carrie Watson firstname.lastname@example.org in the Careers Department

Lower School Notices and Reminders
It has been the usual fun and games at The Manor for the end of the summer term. The boys and girls have enjoyed ‘tutor treats’, visits to senior boarding houses for our out-going Third Formers, and various sessions on the awesome Manor water slide!
This weekend is the last one of the year, especially poignant for our student and staff leavers. Mr and Mrs Hurst will be on duty and it should be a lovely weekend at The Manor, with a film and treat night on Saturday, followed by games and activities on the Sunday.
Next week is busy, with the Summer Festival on at school, but down at The Manor we will also have plenty going on, including the following highlights: The Manor Dash, The Manor Football Tournament, and The Manor Surprise Trip on the last Friday - lots to look forward to, as ever!
I would like to wish everyone a lovely summer break, and bright and successful futures, as Jo and I move on to pastures new...
